My Blog

Hello! It has been quite a while since I have posted anything here on the blog. Thankfully, I have been pretty busy with clients, though, and that is a good thing! Let me just catch you up on a few things.

First of all, Nature's Elements just turned 4 years old on June 1. I can't believe how fast time has flown by! I was looking back at some of my earliest photos of the studio, remembering starting off with my massage table in one of the rooms and a single wicker chair and table in the reception area. Pretty sparce furnishings, but my clients and I didn't care. It was about the massage much more than the surroundings. The important thing was that, after 13  years of working for someone else in some capacity, I was finally on my own! It was (and is) a glorious feeling! I had a vision for what type of atmosphere I wanted for myself and my clients-- a peaceful, healing place where we can all just breathe and let go of stress. It slowly took shape over the next few months. With the help of friends who helped put furniture together, brought plants and decor and helped decorate, we have created a space that is truly wonderful. I get compliments all the time. So a big THANK YOU to all of you!

That brings me to the next thing-- we are creating a room in the studio that will be dedicated to all things relaxing. Margaret and I are working on it here and there (when we have time) and we have some fabulous ideas! I think we will call it the Breathing Room. Imagine a space where you can come in early or stay for a while after your session (or even just stop in for a "breather" midday) settle in with a blanket, warm neck pillow, maybe an eye pillow and a refreshing glass of water or warm cup of tea and just BREATHE. Most of us don't do that deeply or often enough. We are also considering ways we can offer foot soaks in there--details will come as the ideas develop. I am really excited about this because I think we need spaces like this in our life, and few exist. So, stay tuned....

Next, I have some fun summer twists on some of our best services. I will have an email going out as soon as they are officially on the menu, but here is a preview:

"MASSAGEARITA": This is our signature massage service (available for any length session except the 15 min) using coconut oil and adding a twist of lime and a little sweet orange essential oil. Make any massage a tropical escape. You can even customize your Massagearita! Have it on the rocks (with warm/cool stones), with salt (salt scrub), frozen (adds biofreeze and cool stones), on the rocks with salt, or frozen with salt!

"SALTY DOG": This is a foot service designed to soothe and tame your "barking dogs". It is basically a foot/leg scrub and massage featuring grapefruit essential oils and body butter.

"LET'S FACE IT": This one may earn a permanent spot on the menu! It's an abbreviated version of the facial service we already do (just the face, scalp, neck, and decollete) featuring essential oils of bergamot, lavender, and ylang ylang. A great stress reliever for anyone!

These will all be available as a stand-alone service, and some will be available as add-on services (no extra time, just the service). They can be added to another service as a package as well.

So, there you have it. I am always working on Nature's Elements and welcome any suggestions and requesrs for different modalities and services. I want to continue to be able to provide quality massage and bodywork in a soothing environment. Feel free to email, text or Facebook message me with your ideas. You never know when something might show up on our menu!

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer! I also hope you will choose to spend some of it here with us at Nature's Elements Massage!
