SPRINGTIME AT NATURE'S ELEMENTS MASSAGE Well, I think Spring is finally here, and I could not be happier! To celebrate, we are adding a few new items to our menu, and I want to let you all know about them. If you know me, you know I really love incorporating elements of nature into my massage and spa services, and try to use the most natural products possible (hence our name). In my very first massage job in Eureka Springs I learned how to do a very natural facial and I still use it today, making fresh lavender water and my own clay mask. I love mixing up a customized body mask or salt or sugar scrub. And I love doing stone massage! So, it seemed only natural to add another element into the mix: wood. Bamboo, specifically. Bamboo fusion massage is a form of massage that combines traditional Swedish strokes with the benefits of heated bamboo sticks. It's a great way to receive deep tissue work without the traditional soreness. The massage begins with an application of moisturizing oil, lotion or cream. The therapist will then knead, roll, and tap warmed bamboo sticks along your body, freeing your muscles of tension adjusted to your comfort level. You will enjoy a deep sense of well-being and relaxation. As I researched the technique, I found that in Chinese Medicine, the element of wood symbolizes Spring, the beginning of life, flexibility, strength, generosity, idealism, and a desire to grow and expand. How fitting for a new springtime addition to or services! I've also chosen a new product line for our facials: Control Corrective. I chose this line after considering synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, and triclosan. Finally, we have a brand new, limited time body treatment from Ritual Alami. If it proves popular, we will add it permanently. The Body Ritual consists of an overall body cleansing using a cleansing bar, a body scrub, body mask, towels soaked in a specially formulated bath soak, and a full body massage using a massage butter. Your choice of kopi for firming, or Bali for balancing. questions or would like to schedule. I'll have these services available online shortly. So, celebrate Spring!
