My Blog

Here's the latest...

Hello! I know it's been quite a while since I last posted the blog. Life has a way of putting up obstacles sometimes. Lately, I have had several to deal with. But, it's time to let you know what's been going on here at Nature's Elements Massage!

So, first of all, we are about to celebrate ourTHIRD BIRTHDAY! WOW!I cannot believe it's been 3 years since I opened the door to my first clients here in my own space. So much has transpired since that day. We have grown, adding therapists and clients, we have added services, and we have continued to learn and grow in the field.

Happy New Year!

Here we are, entering into a new year in a few days. It seems that 2015 passed by so quickly for me. It was a good year, and I always look forward to each new year with anticipation and excitement about what may manifest.

For me, I think this new year will be one of completion and one of new beginnings. I guess they all are when you get down to it. We are always finishing up some things in our lives (school, jobs, illness, etc) and starting new things (school, jobs, exercise, relationships).

New Next Week: Cold Stone Massage

By now, almost everyone has at least heard of Hot Stone Massage. You may know it by different names: La Stone Therapy, Warm Stone Massage--I do a technique called Healing Stone Massage. But with the heat climbing into the upper 90s and heat indices nearly at 110 degrees, warm or hot ANYTHING is probably far from your thoughts. I know that's true for me.

That leads me to introduce my newest offering just in time for the "Dog Days of Summer": Cold Stone Massage. I have wanted to try this for some time, and I have used some cold stones mingled with the warm many times in the past.

Invest in your health with massage

Hi Eveyone! For this blog entry, I decided to copy an article from my newlettter database. So often, we think of massage as luxury, but regular massage has so many health benfits! Read on--

Invest in Your Health
Massage Offers Excellent Return on Investment

"Invest for the long term" is great financial advice, but it's also great healthcare advice. Never is investing for the long term more important than when you are making day-to-day decisions about your health. There are short-term gains from taking care of your health, to be sure, but the long-term benefits are not to be underestimated.

What's New?

Wow! I can't believe we are already well in to Spring. It's a beautiful day as I write this, and I intend to spend some of it outside this afternoon. One thing about Spring and massage (at least in my experience) is that business slows down for a few weeks. While I would love to be busy every single day, it is a nice chance to slow down and take a look around. It's the time of year I try to assess how things are going and where I would like to take the business.

Last spring, I incorporated Warm Bamboo massage into my menu.

Valentine's Day

i can't believe it's already February and Valentine's Day Is just around the corner! It has been a busy start to 2015 here at Nature's Elements. We have been redeeming lots of Christmas gift certificates! It seems Santa was good to many of you, and I could not be happier!

So, speaking of Valentine's Day... I am excited about some of our new products and offerings that have arrived just in time. We. Will be infusing all of our regular sessions with special ingredients like chocolate and wine extracts that not only smell wonderful, but will make your skin feel great!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nature's Elements Studio of Massage Therapy

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is the time of year we all stop to give thanks for our many blessings, and we at Nature's Elements Massage give thanks to all of you, our wonderful clients, each and every day. But during this Thanksgiving weekend, we want to show our appreciation by extending some awesome savings to you.

We are kicking off the Holiday Season on Black Friday and Saturday (yes, we will be OPEN both days for appointments and gift certificates)!

Suggestions for Fall

Wow! Summer has flown by, hasn't it? I can hardly believe we are about to enter Fall, my favorite time of year! I love the cooler temps, the leaves changing colors, and the briskness in the air. Oh, and all the holidays that are on the way!

Anytime the season changes, our bodies let us know. Whether is drier skin, achy joints or muscles, feeling colder, massage can help facilitate that transition. If it's drier skin, schedule a salt glow to help your body exfoliate dead skin cells from all that sun you enjoyed.

A new face

Hello again! It's time for another little blog to keep you all in "the know" about the goings on at Nature's Elements Massage.

First of all, those of you who have been in to see us in the past month or so may have seen a new face. I am very happy to have my best friend and awesome massage therapist, Margaret Specht, working here. Margaret has been a full-time licensed massage therapist for 14+ years. She has worked in several different arenas, from chiropractic offices to spas/clinics to being a therapist for the Arkansas Travelers Baseball team.

New Services at Nature's Elements

Well, I think Spring is finally here, and I could not be happier! To celebrate,
we are adding a few new items to our menu, and I want to let you all know
about them.

If you know me, you know I really love incorporating elements of nature into
my massage and spa services, and try to use the most natural products
possible (hence our name). In my very first massage job in Eureka Springs
I learned how to do a very natural facial and I still use it today, making fresh
