By now, almost everyone has at least heard of Hot Stone Massage. You may know it by different names: La Stone Therapy, Warm Stone Massage--I do a technique called Healing Stone Massage. But with the heat climbing into the upper 90s and heat indices nearly at 110 degrees, warm or hot ANYTHING is probably far from your thoughts. I know that's true for me.
That leads me to introduce my newest offering just in time for the "Dog Days of Summer": Cold Stone Massage. I have wanted to try this for some time, and I have used some cold stones mingled with the warm many times in the past. Last year, I incorporated a wonderful cold stone treatment for migraines that you can add to any session or do stand-alone (try it sometime, it's pretty nice, even if you don't have a headache.)
I saw a webinar on cold stone massage and it's uses and benefits and that prompted me to go ahead and get a set. They will be here and ready for use by the weekend and I am so excited!
Some of the benefits of using cold stones in massage are: to soothe sinus problems, ease menstrual symptoms, boost circulation, treat injuries, soothe inflammation, and revitalize energy levels. So, try them out in your next session. Ask me for details!
